Doctor Who

Was privy to a preview screening of the next episode of Doctor Who 'The Pandorica Opens' yesterday. Maybe because I saw it on the big screen, maybe because I was surrounded by Doctor Who fans (including a tiny little 8 year old dressed just like him) and maybe because Matt Smith and Stephen Moffat were. in. the. room. But it was awesome. I was completely drawn in and riveted the whole time. The stops, they were pulled out. Loved it. Although I have to wait even longer to see the conclusion.. boooo!!

Easy Money

I joined a company recently that does copy writing for various websites thinking that I'd lucked my way into some easy money. I can write pretty quickly and I assumed that I'd be able to knock off a bunch of articles, collect my cash and sit pretty. Boy was I mistaken. There's a lot of work involved. I now find that what my lazy ass has actually lucked into, is a job.

Stop it, you have no money.

So I've recently (yesterday) got into the habit of watching vlogs on youtube, cos there's nothing on TV now that all my shows are on hiatus. I was watching this one and noticed the vlogger wearing a Battlestar Galactica T Shirt. I really want one now. Just so I can walk around and have all the people who also watch the show point to the shirt all 'Omigod! I watch that too' and then we can be best friends and I'll have another person to bore to death with my theories. My family are pretty done with it and I need to talk to more people who watch as much TV as I do. Only problem with that is that all the people who watch as much TV as I do, go outside about as much as I do, which is hardly ever.

Anyway I want that T Shirt. Even if it means people look at my shirt frown at what it says and continue to ignore my cries for attention.

Quantum Physics, yo

Have you ever done that thing where you're supposed to be working or researching something and a random subject will catch your eye. Instead of going 'hmmm that's interesting' and continuing your work, you spend the next three hours reading wikipedia on that subject, and clicking link after link until you find yourself googling the large hadron collider, when you were supposed to be finding quotes on post modern diaspora... Just me?

Yeah, so not dead.

Wow its been a real long time. I didn't see the point once I moved back home. I mostly only blogged so my family would know what I was doing. I think I had a crisis of self worth in that I assumed no one gave a flying emu in Helsinki what I was up to so I stopped blogging. But actually some people do care. The seven people I actually know in real life kept pestering me to start blogging again, even if it was only for myself. So I am. Not going to bother with the this is what has happened to me since I last wrote stuff because two years is a lot of pages to fill and if I continue like I plan, it won't be that hard to figure out. Though A LOT of stuff has happened, like big milestone life stuff. Some sad, some happy, some mildly mediocre. So if anyone is reading, Hi. I'm back.
