A Chair Fit For A... Perpetually Lazy Student Living In Her Mothers Garage.

This is my new chair painted and designed by me (and my mother). We bought the chair from Ikea and it was very boring so we decided to give it a make over. I really like it. It’s weird though because I know that if I saw something like it in the shops I probably would look at it remark on how unusual it was but I probably wouldn’t buy it. Although that also might be because a hand painted chair like this would probably be quite expensive (even if I say so myself.). It does fit my room and I have to say I love it.

I bought Hairspray on DVD the other day, the 1988 one with Ricki Lake. I remember loving that film so much when I was little. It was so weird. I still love it. Some parts are obviously very cheesy but I think they were meant to be ‘Our souls are black’ ? Very high-larious. I also bought Walk The Line and in that vein Johnny Cash’s autobiography, which is a very compelling read. I’m really enjoying it. However it does mean I’m reading two books at once which I promised myself I wouldn’t keep doing. My attention span is far too short, I have the attention span of a goldfish, I swear. I even tried doing some research for my dissertation. I read one Journal and got very bored. I’m going to keep trying though. Hopefully I’ll manage to get some work done. Though I very much doubt it.

What I’m Listening To: Walk The Line Soundtrack (bought that too, although my mum thinks it sounds hill billyish)
