I Need a Regular Job

I applied for a job recently, a job which for all intents and purposes was perfect for me. It was creative, but there was a sales and entertainment aspect to it and best of all I would be paid to write instead of writing into a non paying black hole like I do now. I was shortlisted for this job but I didn't get it. I was completely fine about it (I told everyone as I refused to talk about or even acknowledge it). Today out of curiosity I had a look at the company's website to see who actually did get my job and got all verklempt about the whole thing. This led me to discover a whole TV channel dedicated to Christmas movies, a channel I sat and watched in an attempt to cheer myself up, something I would never have done if it wasn't for my job woes. Four heartwarming stories later I am now capable of thinking about the whole thing without being annoyed. Though the fact that I even had time to sit through all those Christmas movies means I really need a job.
